MTP/MPO conversion cables increase the capacity of the existing 12-fiber and 24-fiber MTP network. Unlike MTP to LC harness cable, MTP conversion cables are terminated with MTP connectors on both ends, with different fiber counts and types on each end. They provide more possibilities for the existing 24-fiber cabling system.
The MTP conversion cable shares the same fanout design with the MTP breakout cable but is terminated with MTP connectors on both ends. They use 24 fibers and have different variations for various applications, including 1×24 fibers to 2×12 fibers and 3×8 to 2×12.
